We stopped in for the first day of the South Points Farmers’ Market this afternoon. It was their first week, with a grand opening planned for next week. It was very small (just two vendor groups) but we were able to purchase some Russian kale, green mix, and beets.
South Points will be the closest farmers’ market to our home, so I hope it expands. I first learned about the market at the How To Festival. One of the presenters there said that South Points tends to get a lot of unique international vegetables. There are a lot of ethnic sub-communities in the area, and their gardeners bring fare to support their recipes.
